Privacy Policy

JSON Formatter + Validator + Redactor is operated by Plato. This site is a single-purpose web utility. It does not require an account, does not transmit your inputs to any server, and stores nothing beyond what your browser keeps locally.

What we collect

Our intent is to collect the minimum possible. In practice:

• Inputs you paste into the tool — stay 100% in your browser. We have no backend that sees them. You can verify by opening your browser's DevTools → Network tab → confirming no requests are made when you use the tool.
• Local storage — we may store your most recent inputs in your browser's localStorage so they restore on your next visit. This is not transmitted; you can clear it via your browser settings.
• Anonymous analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 and Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and understand which features are useful. These are configured with IP anonymization where supported. We do not link analytics to any personal identifier.
• Advertising — once this site is approved for Google AdSense, ad code from Google's advertising network will be loaded. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads. You can opt out at Google Ads Settings.

What we do NOT collect

• Your name, email, address, or phone number — we don't ask
• The content of your inputs (JSON, prompts, cron expressions, etc.) — never transmitted
• Account information — there are no accounts
• Payment information — the tool is free; we have no checkout

Third-party services

This site uses:

• Cloudflare Pages — for hosting. Cloudflare may log basic request metadata (IP, user agent, timestamp) for security/abuse-prevention purposes per their privacy policy.
• Google Analytics 4 — for traffic analytics. See Google's privacy policy.
• Google AdSense (once approved) — for ads. See Google Ads policies.

Cookies

The tool itself does not set cookies. Google Analytics and AdSense (when active) set cookies via Google's domain. You can block or clear these via your browser's cookie settings without affecting the tool's functionality.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has interacted with this site, contact us and we will assist as best we can — though as noted, we collect nothing personal.

Data subject rights (GDPR, CCPA)

If you are in the EU, UK, California, or another jurisdiction with data subject rights, you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold. Since we do not collect personal information beyond anonymous analytics, in most cases there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, or delete. If you have a specific request, contact us.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. If the change is substantive (e.g. we start collecting personal data), we will post a notice on the homepage.
